Globally Recognised. Commercially Proven.

Catch Me Marketing Co has been named a finalist in three categories at the 2026 Global Search Awards, recognising strategic thinking capability, integrated marketing execution, and measurable commercial results.

🏆 Best Use of Search – Retail / eCommerce (PPC)
🏆 Best Integrated Campaign
🏆 Most Innovative Campaign (PPC)

Judged by an independent panel of international search marketing experts, the Global Search Awards celebrate agencies that demonstrate outstanding strategy, innovation, and measurable business outcomes.

Being recognised across three categories is a reflection of the work, the client partnership, and the results achieved.

The capability behind the nominations

In September 2025, The Notorious Collective (TNC) — a new Australian tapware brand — came to us with a bold goal and a tight timeline: build their entire digital marketing presence from the ground up and generate serious revenue during Black Friday Cyber Monday. Nine weeks away.

There was no email platform. No Google Ads account. No pixel data. No audience. Nothing.

What followed was 90 days of building, testing, and executing a full-funnel strategy across Meta, Google, Klaviyo, and Shopify — all while preparing for one of the most competitive retail periods of the year.

The results speak for themselves:

What Made it Work

The campaign wasn’t built on gut feel or templated playbooks. Every decision was evidence-led — grounded in audience research, consumer psychology, and integrated systems thinking.

The creative standout was the Win a Bathroom Design competition — a precision audience-building mechanism that attracted renovation-stage buyers (not bargain hunters) and built a first-party retargeting pool of genuine purchase intent before a single BFCM ad ran.

The founder story mattered too. TNC owner Dave Mitchell brings 30 years of renovation expertise to the brand — someone who has worked with virtually every tapware brand on the market before building his own. That story, told well on the website, directly dismantled the trust barriers that hold new brands back.

Meta generated demand. Google captured intent. Email nurtured and converted. The website closed the sale. Each channel rebuilt from scratch, each connected into a single cohesive journey.

What this means for our clients

Three finalist nominations — across retail eCommerce, integrated campaigns, and innovation in PPC — reflect the breadth of what this campaign achieved. It wasn’t a one-channel win. It was a whole-of-funnel result delivered under real-world constraints.

For businesses considering working with us: this is what we do. We build the strategy, the systems, and the creative — and we back it with methodology that gets results.

Client Testimonial

“When Trish first came on board, we honestly had no idea what we needed to have in place to run an e-commerce business properly. No Merchant Center, no CRM, no database, no customer nurturing — and definitely no clear strategy. She sorted all of that out for us.

The results have been beyond our expectations. Who would have thought we’d go from starting at zero to genuinely shaking up an industry full of established players!”

A note of thanks

To Dave Mitchell and the team at The Notorious Collective — thank you for trusting us with the challenge. This result belongs to both of us.

The winners will be announced at the Global Search Awards ceremony later this year. Whatever the outcome, we’re incredibly proud of the work — and even prouder of the number behind it.

Why Most Marketing Activity Does Not Lead to Growth

Why Most Marketing Activity Does Not Lead to Growth

Many businesses are active in their marketing. They post regularly on social media. They experiment with advertising. They update their website. They send the occasional email campaign. On the surface, this looks like momentum. Yet despite consistent effort, meaningful growth often remains elusive.

This disconnect between activity and outcome is one of the most common frustrations business owners experience. Marketing can feel busy, time-consuming, and expensive, while results remain unpredictable or underwhelming. The underlying issue is rarely a lack of effort. More often, it is a lack of strategic alignment.

Activity Creates Movement. Strategy Creates Direction.

Marketing activity alone does not guarantee progress. Without a clear plan, even well-executed tactics can fail to contribute to long-term growth. This is because marketing channels do not operate in isolation. Social media, advertising, search visibility, website experience, and customer communication all influence one another. When they are not aligned, the overall impact is diluted.

For example, a business may invest in paid advertising to increase website traffic. However, if the website messaging does not clearly communicate value or guide visitors toward a next step, much of that investment is wasted. Similarly, publishing content without understanding the needs and motivations of the target audience can result in engagement that feels superficial rather than meaningful.

Growth requires direction. Strategy provides that direction by defining who the business is trying to reach, what problem it solves, and how customers typically move from awareness to decision.

The Role of Consumer Psychology in Marketing Outcomes

Understanding how people make decisions is central to effective marketing. Customers rarely act immediately after encountering a brand for the first time. Instead, they gather information, compare alternatives, and seek reassurance that they are making a sound choice. This process is influenced by perceived credibility, clarity of messaging, and the ease with which they can take the next step.

When marketing activity ignores these behavioural patterns, it often focuses on visibility rather than conversion. Businesses may celebrate increased impressions or website visits without considering whether those metrics are translating into enquiries or sales. While awareness is an important stage of the customer journey, it must be supported by communication that builds trust and reduces uncertainty.

Marketing that reflects real decision-making behaviour tends to perform more consistently. It anticipates common questions, addresses potential concerns, and provides clear pathways for engagement. This approach transforms marketing from a series of disconnected actions into a structured growth mechanism.

The Common Trap of Tactical Thinking

In a fast-moving digital landscape, it is tempting to prioritise tactics. New platforms emerge, algorithms change, and trends evolve. Businesses often feel pressure to keep up by adopting the latest tools or strategies. While adaptability is valuable, tactical thinking without strategic context can create confusion rather than progress.

For instance, launching a new advertising campaign may generate short-term interest, but without a broader plan for nurturing leads or retaining customers, the long-term impact is limited. Likewise, redesigning a website for aesthetic reasons alone may fail to improve conversion if underlying messaging issues remain unresolved.

A strategic mindset shifts the focus from what is new to what is necessary. It encourages businesses to evaluate how each initiative contributes to their broader growth objectives. This perspective helps prioritise actions that are likely to deliver measurable outcomes rather than simply adding to the volume of marketing activity.

Integration Is the Key to Sustainable Growth

Effective marketing systems are integrated. Advertising generates demand. Search optimisation captures intent. Website experience converts interest into action. Email communication nurtures relationships over time. When these elements work together, the customer journey becomes more coherent and results become more predictable.

Integration also supports efficiency. Instead of investing in multiple disconnected initiatives, businesses can allocate resources to areas that strengthen overall performance. For example, refining website content may improve the effectiveness of both organic search traffic and paid advertising campaigns. Similarly, building an engaged email database can reduce reliance on continuous ad spend by creating opportunities for repeat engagement.

This holistic approach requires ongoing evaluation. Data analysis, customer feedback, and performance monitoring provide valuable insights into what is working and what needs adjustment. Over time, incremental improvements can lead to significant growth.

Moving From Activity to Intentional Progress

Transitioning from reactive marketing to intentional strategy often begins with a simple but important step: assessment. By reviewing current channels, messaging, and performance metrics, businesses can identify gaps and opportunities. This process may reveal that certain activities are delivering value while others are consuming resources without clear benefit.

From there, priorities can be established. In some cases, the focus may be on strengthening brand positioning and clarity of communication. In others, improving technical aspects such as site speed or search optimisation may take precedence. The goal is to create a logical sequence of actions that supports sustainable growth rather than sporadic spikes in performance.

It is also important to recognise that growth is rarely immediate. Strategic marketing is a cumulative process. As trust builds and visibility increases, businesses often experience gradual improvements in enquiry quality and customer loyalty. Patience, consistency, and a willingness to refine approach are essential components of long-term success.

Conclusion

Most marketing activity does not lead to growth because it lacks structure, alignment, and an understanding of how customers actually make decisions. While effort and investment are necessary, they are not sufficient on their own. Strategy provides the framework that transforms activity into meaningful progress.

By focusing on clarity of direction, integrating channels, and grounding communication in consumer psychology, businesses can create marketing systems that support sustainable development. Instead of reacting to trends or chasing visibility for its own sake, they can build momentum that translates into measurable outcomes.

Growth is not the result of doing more. It is the result of doing what matters, in the right order, with purpose.

Performance Marketing Case Study

How an Emerging Aussie Tapware Brand Generated $314K During BFCM

The Notorious Collective evolved from a fragmented ecommerce startup into a high-performing digital growth engine. Through integrated Meta advertising, Google Ads, SEO, conversion optimisation, email automation, and strategic customer journey design, the brand generated $314K in gross sales during the Black Friday Cyber Monday campaign period.

homeware marketing case study

When The Notorious Collective partnered with me in September 2025, the brand had strong products and a compelling builder-led story, but lacked the digital infrastructure required to scale. There was no customer nurture system, no strategic funnel, limited conversion optimisation, and underperforming paid advertising.

Within 90 days, I rebuilt the brand’s performance marketing ecosystem across Meta, Google Ads, SEO, email marketing, and conversion optimisation. During the Black Friday / Cyber Monday campaign period from November 6 to December 1, the brand generated $314K in gross sales through a fully integrated growth strategy designed to attract, convert, and retain high-intent customers.

A Full Rebuild: Designing a Growth Engine From Scratch

The first step was to completely rebuild TNC’s performance marketing ecosystem. That meant developing a full-funnel strategy — not just ads, not just SEO, not just emails, but an integrated system where every channel strengthened the others.

I began by designing the overarching strategy that would guide the business into Black Friday / Cyber Monday (BFCM). This included the funnel structure, messaging frameworks, audience segmentation, content direction, SKU hierarchy, and the execution timetable leading into their biggest opportunity of the year.

From there, every piece of the system was rebuilt to support that strategy.

Transforming Paid Performance

TNC’s Meta Ads account was rebuilt from the ground up. A new TOF–MOF–BOF funnel structure was implemented, Advantage+ campaigns were introduced, new creative suites were developed, and retargeting pathways were finally put in place. The brand now had lifestyle creatives, UGC assets, catalogue formats, and static designs that aligned with their tone of voice and the buying psychology of renovators.

Google Ads became the catch engine. After setting up the account correctly, I launched a high-intent Brand Search campaign designed to convert the demand Meta generated. Alongside that, a high-performing PMax campaign was rolled out with deep GA4 tracking and a competitive positioning strategy layered on top.

For the first time, demand and intent were working together — one attracting, one capturing.

Rebuilding the Website for Conversion

A major focus was on conversion optimisation. The site needed to work harder.

Product pages were redesigned with spec tables, warranties, shipping and returns clarity, trust indicators, and dynamic metafields for product data. Imagery was improved, layout hierarchy was tightened, and missing pages were created. Barriers in the checkout were removed, and a new “For Renovators” section was introduced to clarify ICP alignment.

This upgrade finally positioned TNC alongside category leaders such as Meir and Yabby — not as the underdog, but as a legitimate competitor.

Introducing a Revenue-Generating Email Engine

At the beginning of the project, email marketing didn’t exist inside TNC — not a single flow.

Within weeks, I had implemented the entire Klaviyo system, built automated flows for welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, and BFCM, and created the segmentation and lifecycle journeys needed to drive retention.

One of the most impactful initiatives was the “Win a Bathroom Design” competition — a campaign designed to rapidly build a high-intent first-party audience before BFCM.

A dedicated landing page, Klaviyo form, automated email flow, and Meta lead ads worked together to drive explosive database growth.

TNC’s email list grew from just 6 profiles to more than 850 within weeks.

This not only built a retargeting pool, but created the foundation for strong BFCM revenue.

A Seamless Customer Journey

Once ads, email, and the website were rebuilt, the next challenge was stitching everything together into a frictionless customer journey.

Deep retargeting brought back warm visitors. A win-back strategy revived cold audiences. Lookalike audiences were created using high-quality seed lists gathered from both the website and the Bayview Renovations database. Messaging across every channel was aligned so customers experienced a cohesive journey whether they saw an ad, received an email, or visited the site.

For the first time, TNC wasn’t guessing — they were guiding.

The Results: $314K During BFCM

From November 6 to December 1, The Notorious Collective achieved significant growth across traffic, engagement, and revenue performance.

This wasn’t a fluke. The entire system — Meta attracting demand, Google capturing intent, the website converting, email retaining — worked together exactly as it was engineered to.

TNC didn’t just outperform their past performance — they outperformed the industry.

  • $314K gross sales generated during BFCM
  • Total ad spend: approx. $12K
  • Return on Ad Spend (ROAS): 26:1
  • Average Order Value (AOV) increased 63%
  • Conversion Rate (CR) increased 460%
  • Sessions increased 102%

Why This Strategy Worked

The campaign was driven by a coordinated full-funnel strategy where each channel supported the next stage of the customer journey.

Meta created demand through emotionally driven creative, audience segmentation, and retargeting pathways. Google Ads captured high-intent traffic generated through both branded search and Performance Max campaigns. Email marketing nurtured and converted warm audiences through automated flows, VIP early access campaigns, and BFCM sequences.

Rather than relying on isolated tactics, the campaign functioned as an integrated ecosystem designed around real consumer behaviour.

The Notorious Collective demonstrates what is possible when strong products are supported by strategic execution across every stage of the customer journey.

In less than 90 days, the business evolved from fragmented marketing activity into a fully connected growth system incorporating paid advertising, SEO, email automation, website optimisation, and conversion-focused messaging.

The outcome was more than strong campaign performance. It was the creation of scalable infrastructure capable of supporting long-term brand growth in a highly competitive category.

This was not driven by a single tactic or platform. It was the result of strategic alignment, consumer psychology, relentless optimisation, and integrated thinking across every touchpoint.

How to Make Your Google Reviews Show Up in Search Results

How to Make Your Google Reviews Show Up in Search Results

The Power of Review Schema:

⭐How to Make Your Google Reviews Show Up in Search Results

If your business has a steady stream of glowing Google reviews, you’re already doing something right — but what if those reviews could do more than just sit on your Google Business Profile?

What if they could appear right under your website link in Google Search results, grabbing attention before anyone even clicks?

That’s exactly what Review Schema can do — and it’s one of the most overlooked, yet powerful, SEO tools available today.

SEO schema displayed in search engine results to improve visibility

💡 What Is Review Schema?

Review Schema is a special type of code (called structured data) that you can add to your website. It tells Google and other search engines to display your star rating and total number of reviews directly in your search result listing — also known as a rich snippet.

It looks like this in search results☝️

🚀 Why Review Schema Matters

Adding Review Schema to your website helps your business stand out in search results with eye-catching star ratings, build instant credibility with potential customers, increase click-through rates, and provide AI-powered search engines with the clear, structured data they rely on to recommend trusted businesses.

?

Stand out in search results with star ratings

Schema adds visual impact to your listing — and visuals = traffic.

?

Build trust instantly with potential customers

Showing your rating before the click creates confidence before they even land on your site.

?

Increase click-through rates (CTR) to your site

More clicks mean more traffic — without spending more on ads.

?

Feed AI-powered search tools with structured, trustworthy data

Structured data helps Google and AI tools understand and recommend your business.

🔧 How to Add Review Schema to Your Website

There are a few ways to implement Review Schema — and yes, you can even DIY it.

Here’s a simplified step-by-step:

1. Choose the Right Schema Type

For most local service businesses, use:
@type: LocalBusiness or @type: Service

2. Create the Schema Code

Here’s a sample using Service schema:
@type: LocalBusiness or @type: Service

<script type=”application/ld+json”>
{
“@context”: “https://schema.org”,
“@type”: “Service”,
“name”: “Put the service you provide”,
“description”: “Put your description here. For example: Expert home, kitchen, and bathroom renovations across Melbourne.”,
“provider”: {
“@type”: “LocalBusiness”,
“name”: “Put the name of your business here”,
“image”: “https://yourdomainlinktoyour/logo.jpg”,
“url”: “https://yourdomain.com.au”,
“telephone”: “+61 3 9999 8888”,
“address”: {
“@type”: “PostalAddress”,
“streetAddress”: “your street address”,
“addressLocality”: “suburb”,
“addressRegion”: “VIC”,
“postalCode”: “3000”,
“addressCountry”: “AU”
}
},
“aggregateRating”: {
“@type”: “AggregateRating”,
“ratingValue”: “Put your aggregate value here. For example: 4.9”,
“reviewCount”: “Put the number of reviews you’ve received here. For example: 43”
}
}
</script>

3. Add It to Yor Website

Place the code in the <head> section of the page that you want to show your reviews.

4. Validate Your Code

Use Google’s Rich Results Test to make sure your schema is working.

5. Monitor in Google Search Console

Check for “Review Snippets” under the Enhancements tab in your Google Search Console once your page is indexed.

The AI Search Revolution:

How Small Businesses Can Adapt to Changing Customer Behaviour

Your customers are changing how they search for businesses, and it’s happening faster than you might think. AI tools like ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini are replacing traditional Google searches, and this shift could make your small business invisible if you don’t adapt quickly.

What’s Happening In AI Right Now:

ChatGPT alone gets over 3.9 billion monthly visits, with people spending 8-13 minutes asking detailed questions instead of doing quick Google searches and visiting websites.

The Problem is that when someone asks ChatGPT “What’s the best pizza place near me?”, they get a direct answer without ever visiting your website. Among customers under 35, 70% are comfortable using AI for research, and this trend is accelerating… rapidly.

marketing and AI for small businesses

There are 5 Ways This Is Hurting Small Businesses

?

Your Business Becomes Invisible

AI gives direct answers without linking to your website. All that money you spent on your website and SEO? It’s becoming less effective as customers get their answers from AI instead of visiting your site.

?

You Get No Credit for Recommendations

AI might recommend your restaurant based on reviews it found online, but you’ll never know. The customer gets the recommendation, but you get no website visit, no email signup, no way to follow up.

?

You Lose Touch with Customers

Traditional searches let you capture customer emails, track their interests, and follow up with marketing. AI interactions bypass your website entirely – you lose these crucial connections.

?

Your Content Works Against You

You need good online content so AI systems know about your business, but the better that content is, the less likely customers are to actually visit your website or call you directly.

?

Bigger Competitors Are Already Adapting

Larger businesses are already optimising for AI search while many small businesses don’t even know this is happening. You’re falling behind every day you wait.

The Challenges

Before optimisation, Montaigne Paris faced several challenges in their Google Ads campaigns:

📉 Low Conversion Rates: Despite traffic, conversions were not meeting targets.

📉 Inefficient Budget Allocation: Ad spend was not optimally distributed across high-performing campaigns.

🎯 Limited Audience Targeting: Campaigns lacked refined audience segmentation, leading to wasted impressions.

😨 Ad Asset Issues: Poorly targeted landing page experience, infrequent image asset maintenance, and underutilised ad extensions hindered performance.

🗺️ Geographic Gaps: New Zealand (NZ) markets were not fully leveraged.

Case study results show an increase of 25% in conversions

Optimisations Implemented

  1. Campaign Structure & Bid Strategy
    We transitioned Montaigne Paris’s bidding strategy to Maximise Conversion Value, ensuring every dollar spent prioritised return on investment. Budgets were dynamically reallocated to high-performing campaigns, eliminating wasteful spend while scaling profitable initiatives.

  2. Ad Extensions & Creative Enhancements
    The brand’s ad presence was strengthened through optimised extensions—including strategic sitelinks, callouts, and structured snippets—while dynamic ad targeting refined messaging to match user intent. For new arrivals, we introduced high-quality image extensions and conducted rigorous A/B testing on headlines and descriptions, lifting CTR through data-driven creative decisions.

3. Audience & Targeting Refinements
Precision targeting was implemented to focus on high-value demographics, supported by negative keyword audits to eliminate irrelevant traffic. We expanded Montaigne’s reach by activating dedicated New Zealand retargeting and removed underperforming placements through explicit exclusions. Cross-platform efficiency was boosted by re-enabling Meta Ads Audience Sync for cohesive retargeting.

4. Performance Max (Pmax) Enhancements
Pmax campaigns were elevated with luxury-aligned image assets and collection-targeted asset groups, directing focus to high-intent product categories like new arrivals, dresses, and tops.

5. Technical & Reporting Fixes
We resolved logo display inconsistencies to maintain brand prestige, defined URL destinations for accurate attribution, and removed in-app targeting to filter low-quality traffic—streamlining performance tracking.
